Rita Vermeulen- Teacher
I have been teaching children with special needs for 19 years. This will be my fifth year at North Forest Pines and I am very happy to return here and work with such wonderful children, families, and staff. I enjoy bringing literacy, math, science, and social studies into the classroom through fun, multisensory activities. I have lived in Raleigh for 24 years with my husband, Ethan, and my daughters, Laura (who teaches Theatre at Apex High School) and Robyn (who lives and works in Charlotte, NC). Both of my girls were educated through the WCPSS. I love to read, to sew, and I love the NY Yankees.
CeCe Hodge- Classroom Instructional Assistant
CeCe has been with North Forest Pines since it opened and has worked with children with special needs for many years.
Alexia Garcia- Classroom Instructional Assistant
Alexia is returning to our class for her third year. She also has worked with students in special education for several years.
